RE: A-Star Pt Fluid Containment

We wrap our pts up in a disposable yellow blanket to keep the "fluid" to the
pt and not seeping out onto the ship and equipment. It is made by
Soft-Kare. 58"X90". Banta Healthcare group. cat. no. 43. It is the same
one that CHP covers up 1055's with. We put it on our litter then put the pt
on it and burrito wrap them. It has saved us major clean ups.

Subject: A-Star Pt Fluid Containment

How to put this delicately?......

We've had a few flights in the A-Star where the patients blood loss exceeded
our capacity to keep it contained to the stretcher resulting in seepage
below
the floor panel. This necessitated a major tear down, clean up and put back
together with crew and maintainence working together. Anyone have any
ideas,
tricks or product suggestions that will aid in protecting crew and ship in
these types of flights???
