re taking temps
We have to document a temp on the medical record. We usually get one at the
refferring facility. However if the patient has has anectine we have to
monitor temps. We place a esophageal probe. We encourage all paralized
patients to have constant temp monitoring and all kids to be monitored.
I live in a cold climate and most people are suprised at the amount of
temperature flucuation and the fact that you need to sweat in the aircraft
so the patient stays warm.. It is an issue up here and one that most people
i don't think appreciate...
