Re: Staffing
At Georgia Baptist Life Flight we staff nurse/medic and of course pilot, at
times we have to staff nurse, but this is rare. One of our ships is based
at a hospital, the other two at remote locations. The crew helps in the ER
until a request comes in. This is very difficult if the staff is counted in
the matrix and leaves their patients for the other staff to manage, but if
they are in there just to pick up slack when busy, it works fairly well.
Our hours vary in order to accommodate each helicopter. WE work 12, 24 and
36 hour shift. Hopes this helps, if more info is needed please send me
