Re: Safety Question?



I would suggest that routine hot loads and hot off loads are VERY safe if
they are ROUTINE and the crew doing them does them all the time.  If a
specialty team with an isolette of that weight is doing a hot off load, I
can see where there might be a safety hazard.  My program does just about
everything hot...saves on engine starts, yes, but it also saves time...a few
minutes here and there to do cold off loads and cold loads adds up when your
patient need advanced tertiary care.  How long can that part of the heart go
without oxygenated blood?
