Re: Central Venous Access
We perform femoral access when needed. We use the RIC (Rapid-Infusion
Catheter) devices in several sizes. They are placed using standard Seldinger
technique. They work well unless we fail to nick the skin sufficiently; in
that event I've seen the catheter scrunch up on the dilator when advancing
it, which is a real drag.
