Re: Death in flight
We have a different view of Death in Flight as a pure fixed provider. If
we have a DNR then the flight continues. If not, then the crew initiate
resuscitative measures and will only stop after certain criteria have
been met. If no response after 20, If Medical Control says stop, of if
all drugs have been used, and lastly if any on-board family members says
stop or do not start. If we can land at a air port within a reasonable
amount of time ( see 20 rule ) then we will. Hope this helps
